Rex's Speedshop CDI Unit to suit DT250 USA Monoshock 1977-1979

Rex's Speedshop CDI units are hand built by technicians who are passsionate about ensuring your motorcycle performs as well, if not better than when it was new.

This unit is to replace the original unit which was stamped “SSM F8T00”

Plug in unit. Wire colous and connectors match original Yamaha.

One year warranty.

Some models use only one black wire meaning one could be left un-used when using our CDI unit. It does not matter if one black wire is not connected, the unit works the same.

Important

A new CDi unit is only one part of the ignition system, so if a brand new ‘plug-in’ CDi unit does not fix, or change the symptoms then your next action is to consider other parts in the system that may need to be replaced or repaired to clear the problem – especially where that system is over 20 years old. You can be sure that the issue will be found in an old part you have not yet replaced.

This unit is supplied with a CDI fault finding guide that should be followed prior to fitting the new unit. Should the replacement CDI unit fail to resolve the issue, and it is suspected that the supplied unit is faulty, the unit will need to be returned to the manufacturer for testing. If testing confirms that the unit is functioning correctly, it will be returned to the customer. In such cases, no refund will be available, as the part has been fitted, used, and verified to be in full working order.

If confirmed to be faulty, the unit would be repaired/replaced.
